			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>In  typical modern journalism fashion the Toronto Star picked the most negative forecast in their story headline lead on Saturday, July 16th.</p>
<p>They cited that some analysts predicted a 25% drop. Hidden in the story was the fact that the major financial institutions predicted a flatlining but qualifying with &#8220;everything depends on the economy&#8221;.</p>
<p>I think the most accurate and honest forecast and therefore not headline material was from Scotia&#8217;s deputy chief economist Aron Gambel &#8211; the market may surprise analysts if the economy remains strong.   He said: &#8220;I feel the market will certainly moderate, but prices could also go up. It depends on a lot of factors.&#8221;</p>
